Thank You!!!

I spent quite a few months building business for another local bar, (as many of you know) and while I enjoyed building that business, there was nothing in it for me outside the challenge.

When the opportunity came about to open my own bar/restaurant it took some deep thought as I knew the challenge of rebuilding this particular facility and its past history would be an incredible challenge.

After several months, (7 days a week) of really hard work the final outcome was amazingly surprising. Then came the challenge of swinging the doors at the very worst time of the year, January. Hence my decision, (for now) to only be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 2 am.

My goal, to serve the coldest beer in town, great food with very large portions, something most want but rarely ever get. After being open for two weeks, people love Caribbean Joe's. I've personally served each customer and have asked everyone to please be completely honest about their experience. I've received only one complaint, (thank God) and we corrected it immediately.

The design was created without commercialism, (beer & liquor signs) where I wanted you to feel more like you are at home. I wanted the environment to be extremely comfortable for women but not uncomfortable for men. I truly believe I achieved that goal.

As you might expect, I've received a few comments here saying very nasty things about this business but I think we ALL know who that person is, hiding behind anonymous. Never man enough to use his name. Nevertheless, we've experienced steady business every single day and we are all so appreciative that people are willing to walk in and give us a shot.

My goal is to have a place of business that caters to LOCALS. I don't want two to three deep at the bar. We want to give you great service. We want to get to know you.

Come visit us this weekend and give us a chance to show you how your bar/restaurant experience should be. By the way, COME HUNGRY!

6:42, This place is the OLD Alamo, that was run down and nasty for so many years... It is on the right hand side as you come into west OC, can't miss it, pretty much the only place left that has stucco and those old 70's beach colors... Joe has since bought this place and renovated it during the summer time last year and re-opened it up!!! I think you should give this place a shot, no matter how you may feel about Joe personally... I for one, do miss the old days where you get a lot of food for a decent price... Now everything is trickery small to make you think you get what you pay for but you don't... I mean take burger king for instance, now YES thin is a fast food place, but the story is the same, They make their stuff smaller and smaller and raise the price on you... I got a hamburger on an actual bun and that was a mistake by the worker but it shows you how small the burgers are and how they made the buns smaller to make you think they are the same... The buns now are 2x smaller than they used to be, get that 2x smaller yet it is 2x the cost on the higher side, go figure... We are all at blame, who want fast food and not to support local mom and pop shows, now look at everything... They treat you like cattle and don't give a god damn about you or anything... And you people are to stupid and lazy to NOT go there so they win either way...

Anyway, give Joe's place a chance, I know I will next time I am in the area!!!!! Also Joe, did you say that you had BBQ too?????

9:05, yes, bring the kids. I even designed the front section for younger children. It is divided from the bar area. I know your kids are older but they are welcome anywhere but the bar.

9:07, I do pulled pork every so often. We sold out of it last week. I do have baby back ribs this weekend.

Our visit was nice. Portions were huge! Prices were very reasonable. Our waiter was extremely concerned for our comfort - Thanks Joe!
