Ignorant academic characterizes the Virgin birth as rape because it's that time of year for that sort of thing

Minnesota psychology professor Eric Sprankle is what it would look like if an " I'm an atheist. Debate me" t-shirt came to life and started tweeting.

“The virgin birth story is about an all-knowing, all-powerful deity impregnating a human teen. There is no definition of consent that would include that scenario,” the associate professortweeted this week. “Happy Holidays.”

It's one part desperate, three parts ignorant.

It's all fun and games till judgement day. Repent because God is good and he even loves you.

Unfortunately, there are stupid people who say stupid things.

This atheist, does not represent all atheists... as similarly the Westborough Baptist Church doesn't represent all Christians.

Certainly his timing seems edgy, but really it's just sort of in poor taste.

I'm an atheist, and I don't support or condone his message.

Now, on that note:

God is good, and he loves you, yet the majority of all humanity he is going to burn for eternity.. which he presumably loves in his goodness?

No, this is like a married bachelor.. it by definition cannot exist... so ipso facto by your description that deity does not exist.

However, you may want to change your tactics.. the mafia rule "protection racket" way of persuasion is well... not very persuasive.. especially if you are trying to argue said deity has goodness or love.

Consider... for what crime would you punish any of your loved ones to and eternity of torment? There isn't one... you are all ready more moral than the deity you describe, that based on this example and by definition CANNOT be good, and CANNOT love everyone.
