Donaldson says CNN suing White House over Jim Acosta suspension

CNN may be preparing a lawsuit against the White House for suspending reporter Jim Acosta’s “hard pass” after last week’s fiery confrontation at a presidential press conference.

Former ABC White House correspondent Sam Donaldson said Sunday that CNN has sued the Trump administration — and that he has been asked to submit an affidavit — although the cable network said no decision has been reached.

“I hope I’m not mistaken, but it’s my understanding that CNN and Acosta have sued. That there will be a court hearing on Tuesday on this very matter that we’ve been discussing,” said Mr. Donaldson on CNN’s “Reliable Sources.”

“I’ve been told that — because I’ve been asked to give an affidavit which I’ve prepared to be submitted to the court,” Mr. Donaldson said.

Acosta has my vote to kick his ass out of this country. He makes America look bad.

In my mind, in my memory, Sam Donaldson was the first reporter to rudely yell questions at the President - it was Reagan at the time.
Sam was the King of the "gotcha" question.
Donaldson was the first one I remember that broke the decorum of the White House and the Briefing Room.
Up until that point there was civility and respect shown to the office.
Tough - very tough - questions always asked, but all offered with some semblance of manners and professionalism that is gone today.
He started this nonsense.
Acosta just took it to another (disgusting) level.

So the next step is to correct the situation by taking away his White House pass and anyone like him until President Trump is shown some respect.
