2nd Annual Project READ Recognition Ceremony

30 Million Adults in the United States cannot read, write, or do basic math above a third-grade level.  Project READ recognizes the dedicated individuals of Wicomico County that are committed to changing this.

WHEN: Friday, November 2, 2018, 6:00-8:00 PM

WHERE: Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, Da Nang Room

WHY: Project READ offers free confidential, one-on-one tutoring to Adult Learners in reading, math, writing, speaking, computer literacy, health literacy and job readiness skills. 

The success of Project READ is attributed to the dedication of the volunteer Adult Literacy Coaches and the determination and achievements of the Adult Learners.

Since August 2016, forty-five Adult Literacy Coaches have assisted fifty-five individuals in improving their life skills, becoming more successful, obtaining employment and achieving greater independence.

Project READ is proud to recognize these individuals at the 2nd Annual Project READ Recognition Ceremony where each Literacy Coach and Adult Learner will receive a certificate recognizing their tireless commitment to improving lives through literacy.
