The former vice president spends Labor Day courting midterm voters in Pittsburgh, but also doing his own gut check for a possible 2020 run.
PITTSBURGH — Cue the jokes: Joe Biden is running. In fact, he spent much of Labor Day sprinting, more than a mile in total, doing intervals through the streets of one of America’s biggest union towns.
Biden was here for the city’s Labor Day parade three years ago, the one and only campaign event of his almost-but-never-launched 2016 presidential campaign. A year later, he was back with Tim Kaine, trying to transfer his connection with these voters to the Democratic ticket.

I voted for Reagan, both Bush's, McCain, Romney and Trump. I would rather see Pence for 2020 than Trump. If the Dems find a .moderate like Biden but younger, we could have a problem.

Don’t cue the jokes. He has a serious chance. Look, a potted plant will win NY, NJ, CA, and VA -very close to the electoral college needs. Biden is originally from PA - if he flips that, that’s trouble with a capital T. He’s also got the lessons learned from Clinton. He will visit WI, MN, and CO. He’ll also get CT, MA, NH, VT, and ME.
Hilary was an awful candidate. She started out with CA and NY, and still blew it. Personally, I see Trump having a hard time winning again. Too many States to defend.
If he runs hopefully he will be joining his son Joe jr. at the hands of a stranger!
