Two employees at the Howard County Fair found dead of suspected overdoses

Howard County police are investigating the suspected overdose deaths of two food vendor employees at the Howard County Fair in West Friendship.

Police were called around 11:50 a.m. by an employee who discovered that there were two people inside a locked bunk house on the fairgrounds. Members of the fire department forced entry and found two men inside, one in his 30s and the other in his 40s, deceased. Both were from out-of-state.

Investigators found evidence of drug use at the scene. The cause of death will be confirmed through autopsy. Preliminarily, there are no indications of foul play.

There is no additional identifying information available about the men or their employer. Police will be working to locate and notify next-of-kin.
