Democratic primary results rattle foundation of Mike Miller's presidency of Maryland Senate

Of all the winners in the Maryland Democratic primaries on Tuesday, no one lost more than Thomas V. Mike Miller.

The Senate president decisively beat a challenger in his own district. But the loss of allies in other races struck at the very foundation of his 32-year reign over the upper chamber.

Incumbent Senate Democrats in four races fell or were poised to fall to progressive challengers. They include three of Miller’s most valued allies: Sens. Joan Carter Conwayand Nathaniel McFadden of Baltimore and Sen. Thomas M. “Mac” Middleton of Charles County. All three would be replaced by senators with no prior loyalties to Miller.

Senate Minority Leader J. B. Jennings described the losses as “the midnight massacre.”

“The Senate has shifted left,” the Baltimore County Republican said. “It was an earthquake of a shift left.”

With at least five Democratic seats vulnerable to Republican challengers in the November election, Miller could be looking at a very different Senate when he ascends the podium next January — farther to the right overall, but tilting more to the left in his own caucus.

Mike Miller and his liberal elite in Annapolis are a bunch of asses. Don't even get me started on Elijah Cummings. Keep you mouth shut and let people wonder; open your mouth and everyone knows you're an idiot.

Dont be fooled, this is millers escape hatch, planned and executed to appear hap-stance. He slithers off quietly thinking he will duck prosecution for 32 years of corruption.
As for Hogan, he's a natural for pretending he isnt a conservative. Spending and political games are one thing, disrespecting OUR Pres, stepping on and violating Our Constitution, refusing to protect OUR border, disrespecting OUR VOTE we trusted him with....I cannot bring myself to vote for this.

Dave T: As a Marylander for almost two decades, it has been my perception that the Maryland government is literally a cesspool of fakes, liars, and expert manipulators with zero interest in the public they were elected to serve. An embarrassment to themselves, the offices they hold, and the public, it is a pathetic state of affairs for this so called "liberal stronghold." Maryland, like Illinois, is a perfect example of what not to be, because it's run almost entirely by liberals who are at best -- incompetent, in addition to being totally ignorant. I am questioning very sincerely if it's worth my while and effort to remain in a place that feels so worthless to live because of failed politics brought by failed politicians.

Thank you POTUS for overturning O’Malley’s wallet grab of mandatory Union dues for all State workers. It was nothing more than forced funding of the Democratic Party. Let’s hope Miller goes next.

I hope the general election results cause that foundation to come crashing down, Vote Republican and Make Maryland Great Again!
