Hi Joe,
I’m not sure if you heard or not that East Salisbury Elementary School and Fruitland Primary recently had their water tested and the results came back that there are unsafe levels of lead in the water. A news report claimed that parents of students were notified on Monday but I can tell you that as the mother of a student of East Salisbury I was not notified and to make the situation even worse as of today the students have been allowed to continue drinking the water! I’ve reached out to the principal and the board of ed and am currently waiting for a response. As the mother of a student I thought other parents should be aware of this situation.

WCBOE had 10 days to disclose this and they waited until the 10th day to do so...
Have we ever found out the real application of the BRAIN Initiative?? What was he (Obama) up to? Why the focus on your brains? We need the answers!
Hey but remember everything is done for the kids, and that includes lie about anything you can to get more money from tax payers becasue the tax payers are stupid and only think with emotions...
When is the absolute best time to tell parents ANYTHING about the school their child is in?
End of the year of course. Believe that's on page 23 of the schools administrators handbook!
Sheesh!
I wasnt aware also but glad my kids just drink there evian water i give them
There must be a source. Find it, correct it, problem solved.
Isn't that Fruitland City water?
Drink bottled water.
Some heads should roll over this and let them dip into their budget to pay to fix it. Not one more dime in tax. DO NOT let them remove the revenue cap if you do they will run amuck with your wallets!
As neither of the schools have dedicated wells and use municipal water, if there's any truth to this at all, and it doesn't seem likely to happen in two different schools separated by miles, where could the lead be coming from other than lead soldered pipes?
Heavy metals are literally falling from the sky
Homeschool. This is a minor problem compared to the indoctrination that's going on.
Private school or homeschool, whichever you can afford. Avoid public schools at all costs.
Issue is not the actual water or it’s source. Stems from drinking fountains that had lead in the pipes. The fountains were replaced and all is well.
Not sure when either school was built, possibly lead soldered pipe like you said. I believe I remember reading an article about schools having higher lead because water sits in the piping for so long. Especially over long holiday breaks and summer.
Please send water in with your children. Stop using water fountains all together.
Take Beaver Run and East Salisbury and make one big school K-5. Beaver Run will be built in the near future, might as well make it a bit bigger and sell the land.
