Rep. Harris to Participate in Roundtable Discussion With Seafood Processing Industry

WASHINGTON, DC: On May 30, Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) will participate in a roundtable discussion with leaders from Maryland’s seafood processing industry. Representatives from Lindy’s Seafood, Rippons Brothers Seafood, W.T. Ruark & Company, GW Hall & Sons Seafood, A.E. Phillips & Sons, and Russell Hall Seafood will be in attendance. Congressman Harris and these business leaders will discuss the H-2B visa shortage and other challenges facing the seafood processing industry. Members of the media are invited to cover this event.

They need to pay whatever they need to get Americans to do the job. Increase the price for crabmeat as necessary. This is what we wanted Trump to do. We can hardly complain now that he's doing it.

By the time anyone from a government agency gets involved its already too late. They are slow and rarely deliver results. Do what you have to do to survive folks.

What a joke! No pickers then the damn bushel prices should be lower due to less being picked meaning more whole crabs to sell....sure didn't seem this way this past weekend! Some charging $200+ / bushel, bet the watermen would love to get that at the dock!!!! Bet they would be happy with $75 per bushel...

No pickers ( jobs that Americans will not take) means American jobs will be lost.
