Maryland County Mulls $373,956 Fund to Pay Legal Expenses for Illegal Aliens Facing Deportation

The Montgomery County, Maryland Council is considering a special appropriation to its budget of $373,956 to pay legal expenses for illegal aliens fighting deportation.

The council held a contentious meeting last week, where a standing-room-only crowd cheered and jeered speakers who favor or oppose the move.

If passed, the fund would be given to the Capital Area Immigrants Rights Coalition (CAIR), which would screen “low-income” illegal aliens who are facing deportation proceedings, eliminating those convicted of crimes or involved in gang activities.

Remember when you thought deporting people would be done at the drop of a hat and not have any economic repercussions?

why they are illegal? Seems there should be nothing to pay just round them up and ship them out. Funny how we want to go out of our way to pay for illegals.

Its against Federal law. Each and every one of them aiding in this should be brought up on charges.

If the lawyers really cared, their services would be pro bono.

As always, the lawyers end up with the cash.

This is the same county that released an illegal from the detention center without notifying ICE, even though ICE had a detainer on him. This is the same illegal that has been arrested several times, had several traffic violations, over stayed his work visa, charged with malicious destructions of property for breaking 18 windows, was charged for having drug and in December killed 2 law enforcement officers on the side of 270. The county executive said in statement they want to keep all their citizens safe and don't follow national immigration laws. What he means is that they don't care about people here legally. If they did that joker would have been locked up a long time ago.
