Maryland State Police Arrest Man On Fentanyl Distribution Charges

(SALISBURY, Md.) – Maryland State Police arrested a man linked to a multi-state fentanyl distribution operation.

Narada Michael Walls, 37, is charged with manufacturing, distributing and possessing controlled dangerous substances. He is being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center pending a bond review hearing on Dec. 18.

Beginning in late fall 2017 the Maryland State Police Heroin Investigative Unit, assisted by the Maryland State Police, Criminal Enforcement Division, Gang Enforcement Unit, Maryland State Police, Salisbury and Berlin Barracks, Maryland State Police, Central South Narcotics, Salisbury Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Wicomico County States Attorney’s Office and United States Attorney’s Office began an investigation into the distribution of opioids by Walls in several counties, Baltimore City and neighboring states. Walls’ opioid distribution was primarily focused in and around Salisbury and Wicomico County, Maryland.

The investigation revealed that Walls was importing and selling a large amount of opioids on a daily basis. The opioid was methoxyacetyl fentanyl. The DEA verified that the specific analog strand of fentanyl was one of the most potent strands of fentanyl currently being illegally imported from outside the United States. The DEA estimated the fentanyl in question is as high as 15 times stronger than other analog strands. Multiple sources throughout Maryland and several neighboring states supplied Walls with the methoxyacetyl fentanyl that he distributed.

On Dec. 15, 2017, the Maryland State Police Heroin Investigative Unit, led by the Maryland State Police, Criminal Enforcement Division, Gang Enforcement Unit and assisted by Maryland State Police, Salisbury and Berlin Barracks; Maryland State Police, Central South Narcotics; Salisbury Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Homeland Security Investigations, Wicomico County States Attorney’s Office and United States Attorney’s Office ended this investigation with a well-coordinated operation that encompassed the service of five search and seizure warrants in Salisbury and Wicomico County, Maryland.

The following items were seized because of the operation:

$17,705 in U.S. currency
Quantities of identified cutting agents used to dilute controlled dangerous substances prior to sale.

Numerous rubber gloves and filtration masks
Two electric coffee-style grinders covered with controlled dangerous substance residue
One pint of promethazine with codeine cough syrup

8/29/14 About 6:15 a.m., the Sussex County Drug Task Force – assisted by the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and state police Special Operations Response Team – executed a search warrant at the home of Narada M. Walls, 34, and Deidra K. Davis, 30, in the 15000 block of Whitesville Road, northeast of Delmar, Master Cpl. Gary E. Fournier said.

A child at the house was turned over to relatives who were there, he said.

Seized in the search were 41 bags of heroin totaling about .615 grams, two Ruger rifles, a Mark I handgun, a Taurus .38 caliber revolver that was reported stolen to the Salisbury, Maryland, Police Department, drug paraphernalia and nearly $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds, Fournier said.

Walls and Davis were charged with heroin possession with intent to deliver, four counts of deadly weapon possession by a prohibited person, receiving a stolen firearm, controlled substance possession, two counts of drug paraphernalia possession and conspiracy.

They were committed to Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown, each lacking $20,250 secured bail.

Police did not disclose what past offenses led to Walls and Davis being prohibited from gun possession.

So many people could go missing without suspicion because they go for years without even contacting their own family members.2:54 may be correct, because in the drug world no one would report murders. That says a lot when you would never even be missed.

it`s almost christmas give him a break, he was probably just trying to earn some extra money to buy presents for all 37 of his babies momma`s, it ain`t cheap being a playa.

i`m sure he will do just fine in court, the liberal prosecutor will drop all the charges except the least serious charge, which he will plead guilty to, then the liberal judge will give him probation.

Nicely done SPD and MSP!!!!

Totally racist to arrest a black drug dealer. Make drugs legal or the systematic racist system will keep oppressing poison dealers. Thank you.

Quite the entrepreneur! Supplying a demand for drugs. I'm sure he made a ton of money before they caught up with him.
