The Whiskey Rebellion: How Brand New America Tore Up The Bill of Rights

223 years ago today, “The Dreadful Night” occurred in Western Pennsylvania, after an uprising called The Whiskey Rebellion.

The United States was brand new. Soldiers who had fought for independence from Great Britain found themselves on opposite sides of a skirmish. Some were having their rights violated practically before the ink was dry on the Bill of Rights. Other Veterans of the Revolution were doing the oppressing at Alexander Hamilton’s behest.

The Whiskey Rebellion saw farmers stand up to an unfair tax handed down by the federal government, and the government responded with the force of a monarchy. It may have all sprung from Alexander Hamilton’s desire for glory. Or Hamilton, the first Secretary of Treasury, may have had other motives for setting the precedent of force which still lives on today.

It all started after the Revolution, in 1791, when the federal government was in debt, and had no official money. The notes they paid to soldiers were worth fractions of what was promised, but many had no choice but to accept the funds and go home in order to try to survive.

But the soldiers were not the only ones who needed to be paid after the war. There were a number of rich investors and bankers who had provided the capital needed to win the Revolution. They too were awaiting repayment.

The Constitution is a scam. The only legitimate governing document of this country will ever be the the Articles of Confederation.

Suddenly, I am a fan of Aaron Burr.

3:13 It was actually a bit of a disaster. States could print their own currency, which they did to pay veterans causing massive inflation. There was no national court system to even interpret the law. Without a strong central government the British kept troops in the Northwest and actually supplied arms to Native American tribes to continue fighting for their land against the new Americans. The Spanish blocked the port of New Orleans crippling trade in the gulf. But yeah, the Constitution is a scam alright...

How did this group of 13 ragged, broke, unorganized, and desperate colonies EVER beat the strongest military power on earth at the time?
How did they go from that to feeding the world, saving it twice, delivering and saving freedom for millions, rebuilding entire countries, essentially from scratch, and being such a beacon of prosperity and freedon that, even today, people risk their very lives just to be able to get here?
Muslims. Transgender freaks, men who can't decide what sex they are, atheists, and assorted wonder boys all got together and, with allahs help in the pedophile department, saved this country and turned it around t make it great!!

God gave it to us. And blessed us with men like Jefferson and Washington, and Madison, and Franklin to name just a few. Never before and likely never again will there be such an astounding collection of God fearing men assembled together in one moment in history who created such great change in the world??
Now, all of a sudden, they are all racist losers who don't deserve even a f'ing PLAQUE in their name???
WTF??
By the way, the part about the muslims and their cross-dressing freak buddies saving us???
I made that up.

Can you imagine ANY of them able to do ANYTHING close to that?
Just thinking about that brings howls of laughter.
Imagine them, with THEIR feet bleeding and stomachs empty, tromping through snow and attacking the Hessian's? Fighting for ANYTHING more than some more free stuff? A safe space? The right not to be hurt by pictures, painting, or statues??
They wouldn't last 30 minutes. in the summertime.
They won't last ten minutes in the next revolution (and bet your life it's on the way).
Keep cheering, girlies.

7:17 while I see where you're going with this rant need I remind you that time changes things. 50 years ago men were having the same rant about black people stepping into a voting booth. Hell, even sitting down in a certain chair. After 3 deployments in Iraqi Freedom I'm confident in telling you that you have no idea how a radical Muslim fights. Your ignorance is on display to everyone. I don't give a damn if a grown man wants to prance around in a rainbow dress but I damn sure love living in a country where that doesn't sentence him to death. If you'd like to go to a place where those things are punishable there are plenty of places you can fly today. I'd say follow the advice of 8:45.
