‘Move Over’ Law In Effect Nationwide In Effort To Protect Tow Truck Drivers On Highways

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– The “Move Over Law” has been in effect in Maryland for about 7 years, and that includes tow truck drivers, a group also put in danger by those driving too close.

“There are hundreds of casualties a year as a result of cars and trucks passing too close, only inches from where works being done,” one man said.

Tow truck drivers came together to encourage drivers to follow “Move Over” laws now in place in every state.

The Spirit Ride, a casket and parade of vehicles representing the danger each time a tow man steps on the road, is making its way through the U.S.

Too much Bike crap, with the Govt catering too much to
putting bikes in Heavy traffic areas, which Endanger Both
those on damn bikes, and those in autos /buses/trucks .
There are Many roads with No room for bikes , with No side
room on them , if they fall ,they fall IN Traffic !!!
In OC Md the bikes are even allowed in the frigg'in BUS
lanes , which is very dangerous and should Never have been
allowed in the first place.

Bike Laws are needed and are Overdue and are being ignored
just to please a bunch of Idiots .........

Absolutely right, 9:17. Those people on bikes think they own the road. Maryland law says they have to stay as far to the right of center as possible so as NOT to impede the flow of traffic. But a lot of those fools ride right down the center of the road and will not move over. They DO NOT obey the laws of the road either. I see it every day. Sick of those idiots. Kids are more responsible on bikes than the adults. Most kids, anyway.
