Americans With No Abilities Act (ANAA)

The U.S. Senate is considering a sweeping legislative bill, sponsored by the Democratic Party, that will provide new benefits for many more Americans.

The Americans With No Abilities Act is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who have not taken advantage of the free grade school level, middle school, or high school education provided, nor any trade school training or college - and now lack any real skills or ambition.

"Roughly 1/2 of adult Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society," said California Sen. Barbara Boxer.
"We can no longer stand by and allowPeople of Inability (POI) to be ridiculed and passed over.
With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing."

In a Capitol Hill press conference Nancy Pelosi pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity - without regard to performance.
At the state government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons with No Ability (63%).

Under the Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million mid-level positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.

Mandatory, non-performance-based, raises and promotions will be given to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees.
The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability(POI) into middle-management positions.
Addditionally, it will give a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.

Finally, the Americans With No Abilities Act contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the non-abled.
The federal Government will ban, for example, discriminatory hiring interview questions such as, "Do you have any skills - or experience - that relate to this job?"
"As a non-abled person, I can't be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them," said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Mich., due to her inability to remember “righty tighty, lefty loosey.” "This new law should be real good for people like me. I'll finally have job security."
With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Sen. Dick Durbin,II said: "As a senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy - ought to be extended to every American with no abilities.
It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation - and a good salary for doing so."

Is this for real??? This is the most ridiculous (and funny) thing I've read in a while. Another one of those, let's give them a trophy because they participated kind of things. Let's give them a title, even though they don't know what they are doing, and pay them while we are at it, just so they can feel like they are involved. Give Me Strength!!!

You should add John McCain and Lindsey Graham to the list of "approvals". They are a big part of the problem as well.

Establishment Republicans are especially vile.

What is really sad is that I could see this as being real. This is where the extreme left is staking us folks - a little at a time. But then again, Dems may not be excited about this because these POIs may not be able to vote for them either. And after all, that is the motivation of most legislation in DC these days.

Frankly this is not far from where we are headed. Young people today do not have the same motivation that we did just 50 years ago. Social media and video games have taken away initiative. I began as a stock boy for $.65/hour at age 15; now granted we didn't have the diversions that are abundant today. Skill sets are not being passed along.

This already exists and is evidenced by the federal government's civil service employees! At least 75% of them are 'qualified' under these new rules!

This already exists with state government as well. We now have managers and supervisors who have no clue what they are doing. They were promoted for totally unethical reasons. Doesn't matter if they don't have the proper skills or educational background. It's very frustrating having to answer to someone who is totally lost at what they are supposed to be doing.

I just shake my head. It's best I not comment here. First off Joe would never allow the amount of profanity I want to say. Then people would want to label me an elitist because I can't believe they actually want to give my tax dollars to stupid people. Oh wait.....I already do that by paying taxes to the US government. I'll just keep quiet and get my justice in the voting booth.

Bernie is steaming because he didn't think of it first, then wasn't invited to draft it.
