10+10+10=30
10+5+5=20
5+2+2=9
5+(2x10)=25

25 or 70 depending on the grouping

There was no answer given for this. I think the answer is 15. The burger is worth 5, the fries are worth 1 each and the drink is worth 10. I was taught you always multiply first so 1 (the fry) X 10 (the drink) is 10 and you add 5 for the burger. So the answer is 15.

So 5+(1X10)=15

I agree, but the real question is why am I reading this at 3:30 AM

Anonymous said...

Because of order of operations and one fry, 15.

12:33 is right. That's a real gotcha. I had 17 too. Like teacher used to say READ THE PROBLEM CAREFULLY.

I am a genius and I am quite sure it is 17, The burger is 5 and the fry is 2 and the drink is 10. Therefore 5 + 2 + 10 is 17.

7:35, read the formula carefully. 5 + 2 times 10, not plus 10.

12:41 is correct. 15

Getting ripped off on a happy meal - there's no toy!

Anonymous said...

The correct answer is 25. 5+2×10. Rules of math say you do multiplication first, then the addition. So, 2×10=20 and 20+5=25.

There is only 1 fry in the last equation. All the other have 2 fries So the fry is worth 1 not 2

Anonymous said...

R they big macs or whoppers? It's 25

Anonymous said...

5 + 1 x 10 = 60
Or
5 + (1 x 10) = 15
Or

The drink is 10 the burger is 5 and fries 1. 10 x 1 = 10 + 5 = 15

Anonymous said...

Since when does 5+1+1=9?

The fry is worth 2, not 1.

12:33 is correct.

Anonymous said...

5 + (1 x 10) = 15

Have to remember the order of operation for math. I know it was something with "My Dear Aunt Sally," which would make the multiplication of 1 x 10 be done before adding the 5 to it. Multiply, Divide, Addition, Subtraction = My Dear Aunt Sally.

There are 4 orders of fries on line 3. That makes the fries worth 1 each. The 4th line has 1 order of fries. The answer is 15

5+1x10=60

I can believe all the "geniuses" that can't do basic Algebra.

Anonymous said...

I got 25 but only because I didn't notice that the fries were doubled up on the 3rd line and only one on the last line.

Great job 2:29.

Burger is 5, Fry is 1 (there are two fry containers in the equation above the final one therefore each is 1) and the drink is 10.

5+1x10=15
