WBOC Takes Rape Victim Abuse One Step Further Tonight

While I do have an image with the woman's name above, I refuse to publish it, like WBOC just did again. Not once did WBOC state that they interviewed this rape victim from 14 years ago but seemed to enjoy mentioning she received a $1.8 million settlement from the state.

It got so disgusting that even in the image above, WBOC didn't have the STONES to ask the question with the woman's NAME and this was an interview TODAY.

I'm sorry Folks but WBOC is scum. WBOC refuses to apologize to all the women on the Eastern Shore. I hope they are enjoying the attention they are now getting.

They have the whole broadcast on their fb page.

I gather that the feel that since she openly did an interview years ago that it is fair game to use it now.

I could see reporting it as a past event, but they could have done it with some tact and not used her name. It would have had the same impact.

Apparently then feel the need to sensationalize it as if the past/present events were not horrific enough.

I'm sure we'll all be flocking to do business with their advertisers!

Advertisers: This would be an excellent time to call the station and share your disappointment with their news content choices.

A captive employee was killed at the prison which is a deplorable tragedy, and legit news. It would be proper to note that a few years back an employee was raped. Period.

I hope grounds exist for her to take action against them, and she does, and that she prevails.

The women's rights contingent in this area ought to tear WBOC a new one!
