Pugh Announces No Funding Proposal, But Calls For State & City Help For Schools

Mayor Catherine Pugh came to Annapolis Monday on a mission regarding city schools.

The mission was for more money from the state and the city.

Last week, she told a rally on Lawyer's Mall in Annapolis that she would come back to Annapolis Monday to announce a funding proposal

In a late afternoon news conference Monday at the game location, the mayor did not outline specific dollar amounts she wants the city and state to contribute to the city school system to close a $130-million dollar deficit.

"We've come here to Annapolis today to say we need help," Pugh told reporters.

"Funding gap.."

Isn't this where they had the teachers union going out on strike?

And they want the state to bail them out?

I don't think so..

This tells me how incompetent this Mayor is. How does a Mayor not know how to complete a budget? This proves this Mayor wants the state to support Baltimore schools without accountability of the money. This is a con to get State money. This country boy can see right through this. "Hell No".

How about a surtax on looted goods in Charm City?

No matter how much money is thrown at Baltimore's schools, it's never enough to overcome whatever it is that isn't responsive to money being thrown at it.

Why the heck do WE keep electing these folks into office? Please, use your brain when you vote and when you go vote, make sure you take another person with you so they can vote TOO!!!! MORE HANDS at the voting booth means so much compared to the ash/trash that's voted in by the few who do vote!!

Why not get DeRay to ask George Soros for more money? After all, the BLM "activist" is Head of Human Capital for Balto Skool System.

You can't expect any better. Look at the people who elected her.

That's how democrats work: they mismanage funds, promise too much, and then, when they get in a hole, they ask for a bailout and pass the blame. Cry me a river, Madam Mayor.
