Kellogg Announces Major Job Cuts, Facility Closures, Sales Forecast Slashed

Kellogg Company, the nation’s largest breakfast cereal manufacturer, is again announcing major cut backs and has slashed its sales forecast as profits continue to fall.

On February 9 the Michigan-based company cut its sales projections for the year after experiencing another quarterly decline.

The company imagined it would have flat sales but instead found a two percent decline.

“For the quarter ended Dec. 31, Kellogg reported a loss of $53 million, or 15 cents per share,” the Associated Press reported on Thursday. “Not including one-time items, it said it earned 92 cents per share. Analysts expected a profit of 85 cents per share. Total sales were $3.1 billion, slightly better than expected revenue of $3.07 billion.”

I would like to think Americans finally realized how bad a choice that surgery mess is for breakfast.

Too bad, so sad.
Their stuff isn't really 'food' anyway. It's junk.

It's sugary mess. A surgery mess is something else altogether and nothing you ever want on your breakfast table or in your cereal bowl.

Good point, though.

Maybe Trump can buy stock in it and then advertise it on Twitter? Maybe have Kellyanne advertise for it? Seems to be his plan with Ivanka

When I think of all that refined sugar we shoveled into our heads as kids, it's a wonder that more of us aren't diabetics as adults.

Wait.... more of us ARE diabetics as adults.

Another mathematical lie

They made 3.1B, over the prediction of 3.07B but claims to have lost 53M?
They made more than they estimated but are now calling it a loss.

Hmmm.

Time for liberal/unhealthy Kellogg company to die a quick and painless death. Hopefully the employees losing their jobs can find something else with Trump revitalizing the economy.

It's funny how the brand started out as a health food.

"It's funny how the brand started out as a health food."

True, and even funnier was that they claimed to make "healthy, well-formed stools". True story!

So, what do kids eat for breakfast these days? Mine ate cereal or pop tarts.

7:31-Mine eat cereal sometimes and sometimes waffles. Sometimes gypsy eggs we call which is taking a slice of bread and cutting a hole into it with a glass or cup and cooking the egg in the hole in the bread in the frying pan. Their latest favorite is odd. I was in BJ's and bought their quinoa and kale blend. It's frozen and you get 4 individual 10oz pouches. We had it for dinner and like it alot. It is already seasoned. The next morning my girls 10 and 14 want it for breakfast and now they have it many mornings. It steams in the microwave for about 5 minutes and is then ready.

If i'm not mistaken they donated to BLM. At the time I said no more Kellogs and I feel that a lot of other said the same thing. These companies need to realize that they should not get involved in these radical controversies.

There sales went up a tick. I bet there costs went up even more. Thats hiw that could happen. The reason? Maybe Obamy Care or rediculous minimum wage hikes. Take your pick.

3:53 called it accurately. They and all of their brands are off my shopping list indefinitely.
