You have no clue and this is nothing like the "lake effect" I was there for the 1977 storm. Nice try hyping up a bit of snow. This may be a catastrophe for southerners that get 2 snow storms a year, but in the real world this is nothing but, snow. And it will be gone by Wed. Get over yourselves.

Leave Dan alone ....most of the listeners to WBOC wouldn't know the difference between a snowstorm and a sandstorm
I too lived in WNY during the 70's. This is nothing compared to those kinds of storms. National Guard had to come in and dump the snow on the lake because it was too high on the sides of the roads. It was insane. This is NOT a lake effect type snowstorm. lol
We had a couple of big "for here" storms in the 70's as well with one giving Salisbury 32"! Drifts 6 feet high everywhere. I've seen 4' of snow overnight in the Rockies so I too know large storms. All this said MILK, BREAD & EGGS!!!!!!!!! God help us all it's 6" and pile up! Run for your lives and don't come back!
Lived in Ohio snow was counted by the foot not the inch.
Poor Dan.......why would someone that is suppose to be so good leave the Weather channel to come to this dinky little area? He's probably a nice person but a "Meteorologist " is really stretching it! We can't make fun of him though cause WBOC will be doing another funny commercial saying "Dan said it would be like that!" LOL LOL LOL LOL
65 next Friday
Dan, you're a great guy, but that in-itself does not make you a meteorologist.
Neither does Dan!
I was in Upstate NY for the blizzard in 1966. In four days it snowed just over 100 inches (over 8 feet). The constant wind (it got over 60 mph) made drifts twenty feet high. One of those drifts completely covered the front and roof of our rancher, then dumped over ten feet at the back door. We had to tunnel out, then get up and shovel off the roof. We didn't get dug out to the street for another four days. Kids made a small fortune shoveling snow.
Everything was shut down. Everything. The National Guard was called out and did emergency transports to hospitals in huge trucks. My dad got stuck at work for two solid days, and then had to stay at his parents' house for two more until the roads were cleared enough to get home. We kids envied him because he got Grandma's cooking. He spent at least one of those days digging his car out of the factory parking lot. School was closed for two weeks.
We ran out of bread, eggs and milk.
Translated you Suck Dan Satterfield!
Be happy Dan belongs to all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Dan Satterfield go home your village is looking for the idiot!
7:19 I like Dan, he is a nice person. And it is hard to predict what the weather is going to do. They all hype up storms. I wish they would stop. There is being prepared and being stupid. Do you really need a cart full of food for a two day storm? It is not his fault people over react.
Give the guy a break. You people are very cruel.
