Death Of Md. Man After Struggle With Police Ruled Accidental

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — The death of a 21-year-old man after a violent encounter with Baltimore County police in September has been ruled accidental.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that Tawon Boyd’s death was likely caused by drugs, according to a report in The Baltimore Sun.

“It is unlikely that restraint by law enforcement caused or significantly contributed to his death based on the reported circumstances and timeline of the restraint,” medical examiners wrote. “Since his death most likely followed from complications of intoxication with a drug (N-Ethylpentylone), the manner of death is best certified as accident.

It's hard to make a call from my easy chair, but this person was obviously overly high on one or more drugs and another was administered to stop an overdose without evidence of the first drugs. NOT blaming those on the scene, whose job it is to quell a violent situation with the least harm to respondents as possible which I am all in favor of.

This is an unfortunate death at best, but also a learning opportunity for medical people to determine the toxicology interactions between the one or more the drugs the patient ingested to the one administered to the patient, or in this case, the impatient!

Sorry you had to die, dude, but you were out of line and something had to be done immediately to protect others. You were a dick, and died as a result.
