Secret Service Honors Mikulski For Years Of Service

The U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security awarded a special medal to U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski.

The ceremony was held in Wednesday at the Secret Service training facility in Beltsville. The honor was the latest for Mikulski, a Baltimore Democrat, who is set to retire next year after 30 years in the Senate.

“Today we present to Senator Barbara Mikulski our distinguished public service medal which is the highest award I can give to any civilian,” U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said.

During the ceremony, Johnson said he was recognizing Mikulski for her service to Congress and support of the Department of Homeland Security.

....service to Congress...."???

Although it's probably what she thought she was doing, its SERVICE TO HER CONSTITUENTS that was her job.

I notice Weight Watchers didn't give her any medals.
