* FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS IN... WORCESTER COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MARYLAND... SOMERSET COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN MARYLAND...

* UNTIL 745 AM EDT

* AT 347 AM EDT... DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED THAT HEAVY RAIN WAS FALLING OVER THE AREA. THE HEAVY RAIN WILL CAUSE FLOODING. TWO TO FOUR INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE... OCEAN CITY... POCOMOKE CITY... PRINCESS ANNE... UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE... BERLIN... SNOW HILL... WEST POCOMOKE... CAPE ISLE OF WIGHT... WESTOVER... NEWARK... MARION STATION... OCEAN PINES... WHITEHAVEN... UPPER FAIRMOUNT... DAMES QUARTER... MOUNT WESLEY... REHOBETH... BISHOP... ORIOLE AND MOUNT VERNON.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND... DON'T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
