Just got a text from my daughter at Parkside. They have been evacuated but they weren't told the reason.
Parkside should be permanently evacuated

It's a drug search.
My son just sent me a text and thinks it is a bomb threat ? He wasn't sure.

Just rode past there. Police cars are there. Kids are still outside.
They send kids home for a snowflake, why not this? Close the school and let the kids go home. Then they don't have to sweep school without looky Lous and yapping gums.

Principal just called. It was a drug search.
How does that make any sense. Send them home with drugs or God forbid weapons before the search. Now think about that.
So instead of evacuating the school. Let's send them home. Ok. Get the buses there. Kids have to call their parents to pick them up or they walk home. Seriously??? EVACUATE the damn school.
1046 Oh My God, how could I forget. High School is just another word for Babysitter for Working Parents. How inconvenient it would be for the PARENTS and the BUS DRIVERS if there was some REAL threat.

It might be a babysitter for some but I'm a homemaker. Still doesn't make sense to send them home.

Okay if someone does have a weapon at school it's going to take longer to get the buses there then it is to evacuate the school.
Hate it when Joe posts these things only because parents sit there an obsess about it without end, then when someone suggests they go pick up their kid, they feign offense like you asked them to chop off all their hair.
They won't let you pick up your kids when the school is evacuated. They won't let parents in to dismiss.

It was a K9 drug scan, yes drugs were found, yes the students were still at the school they did it like a fire drill! The parents were called and emails were sent out! Why do people need to lie and make this a bigger incident than it really is?
Who lied? The kids were told nothing and the parents weren't notified til after the fact.
