Video shows San Antonio school officer body-slamming girl

SAN ANTONIO -- Officials in San Antonio were investigating video that apparently shows a school district police officer body-slamming a middle school student to the ground.

In the video, a uniformed officer is seen struggling with a girl, then slamming her to the ground. The officer appears to handcuff the girl before having her stand and leading her away.

Gloria Valdez, the 12-year-old girl's mother, told CBS affiliate KENS it was completely uncalled for.

"Supposedly he was threatened by her that she kicked him, but in the video her legs never went up," Valdez said.

Today’s youth have no respect for authority, their precious little bottoms have never even been spanked (I know some wussy teenager just fainted seeing that word). Sometimes they experience a reality check.

You know what they say, "Don't Resist".

It makes the cop look bad because HE DID A BAD THING.

How you and other commenters can say she had it coming, she deserved it, she had to learn, etc, blah blah blah.

A 12 yo six grader GIRL had it coming? She has to learn? Oh she learned something alright. Not to trust cops.

Nobody deserves being slammed FACE down on concrete, especially a 12yo girl. If someone were fighting the cop, or posed a real threat, maybe.

How many of you would accept that and say your daughter had it coming? If any do, YOU failed your child.

I for one would not stand for that happening to any of my kids or grandkids, and I would want some payback. Police want to be respected, obeyed and all that, and then they continue to do nonsense like this.

This is not acceptable by any stretch of the imagination. There may be some kids out there that DO pose real threats and real problems but a 12yo girl, being held from behind? No way.

Meanwhile this cop gets a paid vacation. Hopefully the mother sues and probably will win. Hopefully this cop never serves in a school again, but doubtful. His union will make him out to be a hero or something.

I can support good cops who do their job the right way, but not this guy, or any like him. It is past time these kind of cops get weeded out and lose their certifications.

What kind of man cant subdue a 12-year female without slamming her face first into the ground? Someone a little eager to use his judo?
