I have seen this crap before , now all I do is take up both lanes to stop it. I hate to say it , but I will , ladies are the culprits , I guess they are still putting on makeup or texting . Pay attention!
Of course you always have the few that want to get ahead of the rest.

There is no law against using the whole length of the merge lane if I want to come in at the end I will. What irks me is the people who drive half in and half out of the merge lane as if to say "no one is merging in front of MY CAR!" If you do this you might be a jerk.

Everyone knows traffic flow works best if you fill both lanes and merge one then one. It's the morons who all get in the right line too soon who screw up the whole process. And those enforcers who take up the middle, aren't you special!

Your correct. No law saying you can't drive in that lane. Driving use to be "courteous and respectful". Now it's been replace with people that think their time is more important than others. If you fall in line AHEAD of time, the flow of traffic moves along instead of people slamming on their brakes because of cars waiting for the VERY last second. I see it all over town. People are in so big of a hurry, they forget how they were taught to drive. Screw everybody else...it's their world!

if you block people from moving up and merging, all you are doing is moving the merge point backwards. if you lane straddling idiots and everyone else would be courteous, patient and take turns it all would move smoothly, instead of all the stop and go bs. leave ur egos home when you get in your vehicles.
