PERSON CHARGED: Pending Investigation / Reconstruction

DISPOSITION: Under Investigation

SYNOPSIS: On Sunday November 15, 2015 @ 5:47 PM, Fruitland Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to Rt. 13 @ Main Street in reference to a (2) vehicle crash with injuries. Upon arrival, officers and EMS immediately began patient care and initiated CPR on one passenger, who was unresponsive. All (5) occupants of the (2) vehicles were transported to PRMC, with injuries ranging from minor to life threatening. Angela Brinkley (age 48) of Westover was unable to be revived and was pronounced deceased at PRMC. The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to assist. Portions of Rt. 13 and Main St. remained closed for several hours while the Reconstruction Unit investigated. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
