This cop might have gone to jail for murder if he didn’t have his body camera footage

There is an argument that putting body cams on police officers could help protect them when there is a dispute over an arrest or some other police action. The video can show what really happened vs what’s being reported or claimed. This story may very well be an example of that.

Guilford is resisting and Frost finally fires his taser, but for some reason it doesn’t work. Deven breaks lose and begins attacking the officer. In the muddled final frames of video you can see him, not running away, but in Frost’s face with his fists raised. The body camera is damaged in the attack but there’s still audio in which you hear shots ring out. Here’s what Officer Frost looked like in the ambulance immediately after the event.

We always hear from the Social Justice Warriors about the need for cops to approach people in a more human fashion and the importance of training so they can “deescalate” tense situations. I lost track of the number of times Frost calmly asked for the documents and then how many warnings he issued to try to get the kid to calm down and follow instructions. We’re also told that hot under the collar cops are supposed to hold back and never use deadly force unless they honestly feel they are in real danger of death or injury. Frost tried to go to the taser first before resorting to his service weapon while under attack. There is absolutely nothing in this video record which indicates that Officer Frost violated any of these guidelines.

Watch some of the footage below. Do you agree with the officers decision?

Our young people are way out of hand , this young punk committed suicide. However , I will say this , I do believe that the officer could have given him a good a$$ kicking instead of killing him.
Anyway Hard to say , I wasn't there , one less idiot off the streets.
Why can't or why don't people want to give an officer their ID ?
Id to drive or have insurance it's the law!

I completely agree with the Officer's decision. Listen young people, when an officer stops you, you know darn good and well he is going to ask for your driver's license, registration and proof of insurance. Give it to him. If you do not have these three things in your possession while driving, you should not be driving, period. This kid trying to record stuff on his phone got him where? Young and stupid will get you to the same place it got him. Listen to what the officer is requesting, comply with the request and you can be on your way, either with or without a ticket. This kid could possibly have just gotten a warning, but no, he had to be big and bad and defy authority.

Cop was totally out matched. You act like cops are trained UFC fighters. Until you have been in a death match you can't understand it.

You have never been in a fight like that and never will. Just watch your tv shows and go to your safe 9 to 5 job.

This is what White House administration has created. Black lives movement are unpaid employees of politicians agenda and are unable to see because of hate. Sad..

Yeah, the kid is going to stop attacking long enough for him to call for backup. And the cop has to fight him off for what could be several minutes before help arrives.

Kid should have acted like a civilized, rational human being instead of a wild animal... Kid would still be alive.

Oh well. One less.

The cop was right.
Do what you KNOW you need to do --- provide the documents asked for and do it quickly.
That's a no brainer.
Sometimes, a person who ATTACKS a cop just needs a bullet in the head. Say what you will without inciting violence or creating a threat. Cops are SUPPOSED to be trained in self-control and de-escalation (jury's still out on THAT part), but when someone ATTACKS a cop, its game on then.....and no rules.
I would have emptied the clip on him. And then sit down and have a Coke.

Always someone who thinks they know all about the laws. All he had to do was show his id and then went to court over it if he thought the officer was wrong. Instead of being an a-hole about it. The officer had to shoot to protect himself in case the punk knocked him out and would take the officers weapon and kill him with it. Does that sink through your thick skulls?

Once all the police have these cameras the libratards are going to be trying to get rid of them. All their going to show is how bad these thugs are and are going to start exonerate most of the officers. Its going to be just the opposite of what they thought.
