Credit Suisse: with just $10 “you’re wealthier than 25% of Americans”

Last week Credit Suisse released its annual Global Wealth Report.

The big headline grabber was their analysis showing that the top 1% of people now own 50% of the world’s wealth.

That is true and rather astonishing.

However, the report had another finding that was even more astonishing and largely overlooked.

What they found was that, as a percentage of the world’s population, there are now more poor people in the United States and Europe than there are in China.

I would like to know the duration level and how many hours/week the top earners work compared to the rest. I suspect there is a direct correlation.

I think you're restating the old adage, "the harder I work, the luckier I get". Which is true to a point.
I seriously doubt that Bill Gates or Richard Branson or any number of multi billionaires actually WORK very much at all. They put in their time and now reap the rewards of 7 day weeks and 15 hour days.
Its a great country.

8:56 The article was talking about."wealth" or "net worth", not income.

There's usually a direct co-orelation between hours worked, and income. But the opposite applies when referring to "wealth".

The members of Congress are just one example...they work part time but get more than full time pay.
