As Gas Goes Down, USPS Wants Priority Rates To Go Up 15.6%

The Postal Service wants to increase prices for the first time since 2013. The plan would bump the priority mail express price up 15.6 percent. It would not go into effect until Jan. 17, and would not apply to regular first-class mail. The increase must first be approved by the Postal Regulatory Commission.

Every dam time tax paying working class can put pennies back into their pockets, here come big business's taking dollars worth of saving from us. For example; if we get a 2% pay raise on July, here comes blue cross and blue shield raising their premium rates at 8% in September. No COLA increase for veterans, social security (elders) and retired military. But, the postal services want to raise their rates right before the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. JERKS. Im gonna be Santa Claus this year and deliver my own gifts. Dam if they gonna get my little bit of Xmas saving through their delivery service.

They should suck it up like the rest of us!

Every time I go in to a Post Office, there's one person manning the counter and multiple counters unmanned....with a line of people waiting for service...all the while, listening to people talking in the back room!

Granted, congress screwed them by forcing them to pre-fund their pension liabilities...but congress didn't screw them by forcing those pensions to be so generous.....

They got a long way to go to get back to their glory days!

Don't get me started on the post office, they should learn how to read envelopes, then they should learn how to deliver the mail to the correct addresses EVERY TIME. I guess the government job is just too darn hard for them to handle.
