Lesbian mayor who demanded sermons now being sued

The openly lesbian mayor of Houston who created a national furor by allowing subpoenas to be issued by the city for the sermons of several area Christian pastors has been named defendant in a lawsuit by some of those same pastors who are alleging civil-rights violations.

“Each plaintiff brings this civil rights lawsuit under 42 U.S.C. [Paragraph] 1983 for defendant [Mayor Annise] Parker’s wrongful actions under color of state law depriving each of them of procedural and substantive due process under the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution, as well as to vindicate their liberty interests under the Bill of Rights and Amendments to the United States Constitution,” the complaint, filed Monday in Harris County District Court, says.

The fight is over a transgender ordinance Parker pushed through the city council more than a year ago. Some members of the Houston Area Pastor Council and other pastors formed an alliance to collect signatures to force the city either to overturn the ordinance or allow voters to have their say.

WHy are lesbians and gays so freaking intolerant and militant about forcing their sexual lifestyle on the rest of us? Demanding constant attention and constant affirmation that it is somehow normal to penetrate orifices in the body that were never intended to be penetrated? If they want to do whatever they do in the privacy of their own homes more power to them--I don't want to be forced to know about it, care about it, condone it or pay for it. So STFU . ANd one question for the homosexuals out there--if male -female sex is so abhorrent to you then why do you duplicate it using fake body parts and orifices intended to excrete body waste? Why in so many same sex couples is there are masculine female and a more girlie female? I mean you would think you would prefer some totally unique and creative sex act to go along with your totally unique and creative sex preferences. Just a thought.

Is anyone else lost in this story?

I'm glad to see this. I think these people who are so determined to persecute those they disagree with and go so far as to violate their Constitutional rights should be hung out to dry. It's especially bad when government officials misuse their power and authority to do it.

Sue them. Do it in a BIG way. Make it HURT.

Make the point in such a way that the rest of the gay mafia will think twice about treading the same path.

1:58 gays weren't persecuted for decades for who they are?

2:23 I would say for centuries/ever, don't suppose there was a valid reason for that do you?

If they want to subpoena sermons that promote hatred and persecution, they should start with Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and any mosque.
