BALTIMORE (WJZ) – It’s the deadliest month Baltimore has seen in more than 15 years. More than two dozen shootings over the holiday weekend alone have city police working around the clock.
Now, leaders hope community members come forward to help stop the violence.
Meghan McCorkell has more on this spike in violence.
From West Baltimore, to the East Side, Govans, to Reservoir Hill–a spike in weekend violence is plaguing all parts of the city. Over the Memorial Day Weekend alone– city police report 28 shootings and 9 homicides.
Baltimore Police say they responded to 6 shootings on Friday night, 7 on Saturday, 5 on Sunday and 11 by night fall on Monday.

Are you surprised ? Of course not , we all knew this would happen. It will get worse , much , much worse.
Regardless of the war-zone that defines parts of Baltimore for the last few decades, This is directly due to the hands-off approach that BPD has taken subsequent to the recent riot.
Soon, community 'leaders' will be howling for more police presence to protect the community from itself.

The community has gotten the PD they wanted so they dare not complain now.
Where is the NAACP on these problems? It has always amazed me that the race baiting organization (NAACP)does not recognize its own problems. They are first to jump out loudly on injustices but routinely ignore the fact that the black on black crime is beyond control. NAACP practice what you preach! The crime in Baltimore is self-inflicted, clean up your own house.
I guess the Baltimorons are going to have to call a thug instead of the cops when they're victimized by crime.
