Glen Avenue Road Closure Announced for April 16-18

Salisbury, MD – A portion of Glen Avenue in front of the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center will close this week to allow safe crossing for Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy attendees. The portion between Civic Avenue and St. Albans Drive will close on Thursday, April 16 at 6 p.m. and remain closed until Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
The Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy will offer a free dental clinic for adults on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. Clinic treatment begins at 6 a.m. each day. Admission to waiting areas begins at approximately 5 a.m. Once the clinic is full, there will be no more admissions for treatment.

The clinic is open to any adult 18 years and older on a first come, first served basis. Appointments are not available and children are not permitted on the WY&CC grounds during the clinic. No insurance, income or geographic verification is required. Each patient will receive approximately one-hour of professional dental care as evaluated by and provided by licensed Maryland dental professionals. Some health conditions may limit or prevent dental treatment.

The Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy is sponsored by the Eastern Shore Dental Society and Maryland State Dental Association. The event is totally supported by donations from the community and sponsoring organizations/businesses. All donations may be sent to the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, which is located at 1324 Belmont Ave. Salisbury, MD 21804. Please note ES MOM on the check.
