Feds Urge Banks To 'Call Police On Customers'

The Justice Department, which already requires banks to alert on customers who make withdrawals of large sums of cash, is now suggesting they go a bit further in the fight to uncover financial shenanigans – call the police, one blogger reported.

Simon Black, an investor and financial blogger, wrote of a “senior official from the Justice Department [speaking] to a group of bankers about the need for them to rat out their customers to the police,” at Sovereignman.com.

Infowars.com then reported assistant attorney general Leslie Caldwell actually pressed banks to “alert law enforcement authorities about the problem” of suspicious customers who withdraw $5,000 or more so that police might “seize funds” or “initiate an investigation.”

Aside from withdrawing large amounts of cash, suspicious activity can also be defined as “transactions conducted or attempted by, at, or through the bank (or an affiliate) and aggregating $5,000 or more,” Black wrote, citing the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council.

ImClain exactly,

They keep on cheering and loving every second of it yet they are the ones who also jaw-jack and never do anything for the cause...

The people will wake up alright, as usual, when it is to late to change anything... Then they will want help, demand help and nothing can help them by then...

I mean shit, what are the police going to do if you withdraw all your money from a bank? arrest you? or steal it and say it was for drug money???

It's called civil forfeiture. OR,
government sponsored theft committed by mercenaries for the state whom will die if they steal from me.

So if I want to pay cash for a car that was $5,075 for check but $5,000 in cash i can not take "my" money out of the bank without the risk of forfeiture or harassment by the police? When did the Nazi Party take over America? Last night while I was asleep maybe? People wake up our government is totally out of 'the peoples control!!

Crooks do not take money out of their own bank account. Crooks run the banks.

And don't even dream of splitting up a $5000 transaction to avoid government scrutiny. It is illegal and they can and will confiscate it just because it looked like you were trying to hide something. No evidence needed on their side, just the "appearance" is enough.
