Perhaps they'll stop all paid fireman services including ambulances, and then let's just see how far you clueless citizens make it with all volunteer responses. Let that sink in

Hey paid FARMIN'. No one is talking about the paid ambulance service. We want that and need that. We just don't want you paid firemen. We need paramedics not firemen EMT's. We don't care that you can drive an ambulance we want real paramedics. It's the volunteers that we need not you paid bozos who keep running volunteers away.
Well you're just as dumb as you sound then. You've got absolutely no idea who actually keeps the department running, the paid men...... The volunteers fail to get out on calls more and more everyday, and then what happens? The paid crew handles those calls as well. The volunteers here are no more than a social club that gathers twice a month to stuff their faces with tasty treats.
