Did the Fire Boat S.S. Hoppes ever make it back from Ferguson to participate the the Boat Parade on the Ireton River in Salisbury?

Exactly how many Fires have the
Fire Dept. been to this yr.?

Perhaps you could post that,
along with how many Paid Fireman
we have & their salaries.

I think the people of this
County need to know.

Hope you can help do that!

8:59 AM that is a good question. I have a feeling that Hoppes didn't go because he was afraid he would miss chow call.

The Salisbury Fire Department just had a house fire this past Friday and there was a fatality. This proves that paid firemen don't really make a difference. Let them all go and let the volunteers take over the fire calls.

Quit allowing the fire trucks to chase ambulances calls just to increase their call volume to justify paid firemen jobs. They are also stealing from the tax payers by charging for these calls with a fire truck that responded.

This has to be the most ignorant statement I've ever heard. The fire department responds when someone reports a fire or emergency. They respond with volunteer or paid firemen and handle the situation. They only have the ability to stop further damage or injury once they arrive. The person who died on Friday was dead before they got there. Please educate yourself before you speak.
