SAVE THE DATE! NYE Party Downtown on Dec. 31

Dear Friends:

Look for the Evite soon, but I wanted to let you know - I'll be hosting a New Year's Eve party on Dec. 31st prior to the ball drop at Salisbury's Downtown Plaza. The event will be at the Delmarvalous Occasions in the City Center from 8-10 p.m.

I'd love to see you there! The cost per ticket will be $30. Looking forward to a great New year's Eve!

What I do not understand....

You can not throw a party in the park - - and make money off it, sell food, etc.

But the Mayor can use public property, charge a fee and make money off it?

Is this within the law?

Why can the Mayor do it and a non-profit organization can't?
