Hogan campaign reacts to voter machine “calibration issue”

Calls for voters to “pay very close attention” when casting their ballot

ANNAPOLIS, MD – October 27 –
Following reports of voting machines flipping votes from Republican candidates to Democrats, the Hogan for Governor campaign is requesting that each and every voter take special care when casting a ballot and to immediately report possible voter fraud.

The Hogan campaign has received reports of “vote flipping” from the following nine counties: Anne Arundel, Dorchester, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s, Queen Anne’s, and St. Mary’s.

Election officials in Anne Arundel and Frederick Counties have called it a "calibration issue" and say that the machines have been removed or replaced.

“Please make sure you pay very close attention when making your selections and review your final ballot carefully before submitting it,” said Hogan spokeswoman Erin Montgomery. “If you are having technical difficulties with your voting machine or think you are the victim of voter fraud, alert an election judge on the premises right away and call our voter fraud hotline at 443-837-9223.”

“Due to the widespread nature of the complaints, the Hogan campaign has contacted the Maryland State Board of Elections to get to the bottom of this issue,” Montgomery added.

Did you report it to an election judge?

Why is it that machines always flip from republican to democrats.sound kind of crooked to me.

Paper ballots never did this.

Sounds like some ASS kicking is in order. This election is too important to let the communist-like leftist scum to steal it again with voter fraud!

It was machine three at the civic center, supposedly the state CE down and looked at it today...

Don't worry about it; the election has already been decided. Anthony Brown, Norm Conway, Jim Mathias, etc. know the fix is in for them and there is nothing you can do about it.

Please pay attention, people, and REVIEW EVERY VOTE! Report any discrepancy BEFORE hitting SEND!

This is serious.

I have already voted. Is there any way to go back and audit how my votes were counted? I was careful, but would have been even more so if I had known this.

Yes indeed. We Democrats have all the voting machines rigged. I'm glad you've finally realized it. So no need to bother yourself with voting since it really won't count. Stay home and relax.

How in the hell is there any "calibration issue" in a voting machine? It's an 'either or' thing! What is there to "calibrate"? It all stinks of Democrat. I am so sick and GD tired of Democrats cheating and lying and stealing and taxing me into the alms house all to continue their illegal unconstitutional self centered agendas.

On Sunday morning shortly after 10:00 am I went to vote at the Civic Centre . In the parking lot I ran into some old friends,We walked in together. One of my friends went to machine 3. While I was voting , My friend announced "I PROTEST with moderate volume....maybe 30 sec later she again said Loud enough for everyone in the room to hear "I PROTEST" ...Finally an staff person went to her. My Friend said I want to vote for Andy Harris an it keeps switching to the other candidate. Things got quite I finished voting an left. In the parking lot we talked about this and went back in an asked to speak to who ever was in charge. Several people gathered up.WE explained the problem. At first the indication was they wanted to blow us off. The discussion got heated and then calmed down. The told us they could call a tech person. I asked them to take the machine out of use until the technician could look at the machine, They would not agree to this. It was clear that the person who first announced she was in charge was not calling the shots. That a much younger person was actually calling the shots. That is not all bad. Finally a lady who was working there announced that she could check out the machine. An explained she was qualified to look at the machine. Then another lady who was walking people to the booth's announced that she would vote and they would check out the machine while she voted. This was not a pleasant event. I think they should of shut the booth down right of way. I would think the system is computer driven. The program could be written throw to throw curves.

"What is there to "calibrate"?"

It's a touchscreen, no? You need to calibrate to make sure it registers where you poke your finger properly.

My guess is it's registering above or below the actual poke, and the 'vote now' button is big enough to capture the incorrect poke.

I'm a conservative, but I know that technology can suck...

The calibration issue is that the Cheat Program can be set to switch a certain percentage of the votes. It was obviously being to enthusiastic.

"I'm a conservative, but I know that technology can suck..."

Maybe, but there is no randomness to these events. The message is a consistent switch away from a Republican to a Democrat. Funny how the technology seems to suck to the detriment of a single party...
