Gill, one of the most popular and most recorded singers of the past quarter-century, hasGill-Slingere5lgbecome the measure of excellence in country music. His vocal performances are spellbinding with hits like “When I Call Your Name,” which was his breakthrough song, winning him the Country Music Association’s Single of the Year award.  Since then, he has won 17 more CMA honors, including Song of the Year four times – making him the most-awarded artist in that category in CMA history.
The Academy of Country Music has handed Gill 8 awards, including their prestigious “The Home Depot Humanitarian Award” and the “Career Achievement Award.” Since 1990, Gill has received 20 GRAMMY Awards and has sold more than 26 million albums.  Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. He is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry. In August 2012, Gill was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  He is a member of the four-time Grammy-nominated band The Time Jumpers; Rounder Records released the band’s first studio album on September 11, 2012.  Tickets for Gill, who will be performing on Friday, May 8, 2015, are $30 to $60.

BMASgtPepperPromo2012Also at Springfest, Beatlemania Again will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015.  This fabulous journey back in time is a performance every fan of music must see.  Their performance chronologically traces the Beatles from their debut on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964, to the psychedelic Sgt. Pepper era, to the final years of Abbey Road and Let It Be.  It’s a performance that any fan of music must see and provides the audience with a fabulous journey back in time.  For only $10 to $15, you can relive the music, the magic and the mania of the Beatles live on stage.
Ocean City celebrates the start of the season with the 25th Annual Springfest, the four-day festival filled with arts and crafts, live entertainment and delicious food all at the Inlet Lot and beach May 7 –10, 2015. Tickets for both shows will be on sale at the Ocean City Convention Center Box Office on 40th Street.  Box office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Tickets can also be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-551-7328.  Admission to Springfest is free.

I think I will pass. Who ever is in charge of marketing does a p!ss poor job. Nothing like booking someone worn out that will not sell tickets. There are more modern, up to date younger singers that will sell tickets.

BTW that is an old picture of him. Now he wears glasses and is quite the pudgy one. You should be fired for not coming up with anything better than Gill.

I personally can't wait to purchase tickets. Saw him in '98 in Nashville and he was absolutely amazing. A true and classic talent who doesn't use sex or drug themes to draw a crowd. He is a true country music treasure. Some of these new artists think tight pants and a plaid shirt make them a country singer. Myself and my family will definitely be spending some hard earned money to hear this angelic voice.

I can't stand country music, but I'd never go to any event with a sourpuss like you! How about YOU try and be a local event organizer and book a headlining band within budget.
