omg this is all too true
I have done each and every time with my "children"
This does allow them to go with dignity - shame we don't allow people the same consideration
It was a beautiful tribute to this glorious "child"

Been there, done that so many times. Worst feeling in the world to say goodbye to a great friend. It always takes me a few months before I can go back to the Humane Society for a new dog for the family. As hard as it is I always have to tell myself it is worth it to give a good home to a dog even if its only for a few years.
