McDonald's global sales at stores open at least a year declined 3.7% in August.
That the worst same-store sales decline that the fast food giant has reported since March 2003, when global sales also fell 3.7%. It also marks the fourth straight month of comparable sales declines in the U.S., which accounts for about 32% of McDonald's revenue.
Same-store sales at U.S. stores were down 2.8% and in the Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa region they dropped 14.5%.

McDonald's in general has gone downhill. I understand the burgers are now pre-cooked and they are basically just heated and served to order. I worked there myself for over ten years mainly in High school and part time when I moved out on my own. The quality of the food used to be top rate, but I can't say that now. Prices now make it a luxury to order out. Better off to go to a private business. Better service and they appreciate your business.
11:36 AM I don't know about "pre-cooked" but if you watch them make burgers they pull out these little plastic trays that are shelved in some order. They make them "fresh" that way and they are lukewarm at best. I always send my burgers back because they are to cold and the cheese isn't even melted on them. They do this to save time and it is literally GROSS. And then you have Church Street thugs waiting on you and that ruins the ruins the phrase 'fast food' because they are slow and can only do one thing at a time.
So now my problem is solved since the Cook Out has come to town. Fresh ground beef cooked to order and it is real ground beef. Their fries are even better than MacDonalds. I am beginning to think that MacDonalds French fries are processed just like the Chicken McNuggets. I really don't think they are real potatoes.
Oh, and the Cook Out is much cheaper than all the fast food restaurants in town. This restaurant is right next to many fast food restaurants and they are always busy while their competition is dead. The college definitely helps them. At 9 PM they are packed with college students.
Horses everywhere breathe a sigh of relief.
The economy is in bad shape.
Ha ha! Good one!
i remember when the burger use to be around 5 inches wide ,WTF bring them back.
