I do not reward bad behavior. The server needs to find a new job.

Did you actually read this? This had nothing to do with the server.

That is a very bad statement since you do not know the circumstances. People like you are the ones that want officer Wilson, in Ferguson, arrested w/o knowing actually what happened. Never jump to conclusions w/o knowledge

I was a waitress years ago and believe me in a busy day you can really be put to the test. And its not always the servers fault. I always leave 20 percent and have been known to throw in a dollar or two more.

Bless them for doing so. Was
a waitress in my high school days
& have since had the Greatest respect for them----when they're
doing all they can possibly do to
wait on people

Now take 50% off of all the time stated and thats probably the real time.

Good and bad apples in every basket.

I get it....yes the server does need to go somewhere else. And the bad behavior was on the part of the place where he works. I will not go to places that don't hire enough staff and make them work like dogs. THAT is the bad behavior. If people keep going back...they will not hire anyone. The tip was sweet but sadly it wont happen again and the kid needs a new job.

Hurrah for them. I used to wait tables at a place with the slowest kitchen crew ever. And I often got stiffed. Good for these folks for recognizing the problem.
