I agree with 6:56 PM but why do we have a fire cheef with no EMS experience. Come to think of it even real fire departments have EMS officers and EMS chiefs except in the world of Rick Hoppes and John Tull.

Rick Hoppes is an EMT as well as a former CRT 85 (older cardiac rescue technician certification). John Tull is a paramedic. However they do not have EMS officers, I'll agree that I think those positions could benefit the department.
