It was not a structure fire and not even close. The dispatchers at Wicomico 911 over react and dispatch anything as a structure fire because it sounds cool and they act like they are in charge talking on the radio. It was only a light smell of electrical. They dispatched 3 stations on this which was a total over kill. What if they kill some child chasing his ball in the street because Central dispatched this call as a structure fire knowing full well there was no fire. What if a fire engine flips over because a car pulled out in front of them and everyone inside is killed. This is complete nonsense and someone is going to get killed because of Rick Hoppes and the 911 dispatchers playing silly games to run the call volume up.

The last I knew Central Alarm no longer uses "crystal balls" to see in advance to know what they are dispatching on. THEY CAN ONLY DISPATCH BY WHAT THE CALLER OR CALLERS TELL THEM. They do not freelance and dispatch calls how ever they feel like that shift. There are Standard Operating Procedures that must be followed. The Fire Chief's from Allen, Delmar, Fruitland, Hebron, Mardela, Parsonsburg, Pittsville, Powellville, Salisbury, Sharptown, West Side and Bivalve all come to a consensus as to how they want Central Alarm to dispatch calls. It is done like this WORLDWIDE. Safety in numbers. Law Enforcement responses are set up in the same manner. Dislike all you want. IT AIN't CHANGING.

4:36 PM must be one of those low life dispatchers that think they have the most important job out there. Poor kid.

Is that the best come back you can give....REALLY???? You must be the firefighter troll that keeps the pot constantly stirring by planting comments on this blog to keep things stirred up. If you are really that unhappy please resign your position I'm sure there is someone else that could easily take your place.
