Atlantic City's crumbling casino market disintegrated even further Saturday as the owners of the Trump Plaza casino said they expect to shut down in mid-September.
Trump Entertainment Resorts told The Associated Press that no final decision has been made on the Boardwalk casino. But the company said it expects the casino to close its doors Sept. 16.
Notices warning employees of the expected closing will go out to the casino's 1,000-plus employees Monday.

With every surrounding state having casinos there is no reason to go to Atlantic City. Back to being a dump.
This is going to happen everywhere there are casinos. Those who most frequent a casino are of the lower income levels. You can't keep taking from them in an attempt to create jobs and revenue. It can't sustain. Time to wipe every single democrat out of office. They are no good.
They only care about themselves and getting reelected. Their own children and their futures mean nothing to them, that's how evil they are.
No real solutions just quick fixes to make themselves look good and get reelected.
If you have a parent or a relative that is a democrat politician you have nothing to be proud of.

I remember the phrase they used to say about AC was, "Atlantic City was a dump, now it's a dump with casinos".
And a scary dangerous dump at that.When you can see homeless people huddled around a burn barrell from the window of a $400 a night hotel room you gots a big problem Cisco.
11:19 & 11:58, AC is a dump because the politicians and residents let it become a dump. Just as OC will become a dump if the citizens don't take control of their future instead of letting the public service unions control the politicians.
This is what happens when liberals who run Jersey said they would take casino revenue and fix up AC nothing but BS just lined their pockets and now the end result.
The Revel is set to close too! That will end 3,800 jobs. Know the issue? Look how much the state is taxing these places. About 5,000 jobs will be lost by Sept.
