I truly believe that as children, we had it better than our own kids do now. We played outside, used our imaginations, drank from the hose, skinned our knees, cut our fingers with our pocket knives, rode our bikes without helmets, generally lived our lives, without all the regulations kids have today.

Children were allowed to be different as well back then. Now individualism is frowned upon. Children aren't supposed to be themselves but are to pretend and forced into a person they aren't. A shy child is labeled as having "no social skills" a high energy child is labeled as having ADD. Then if the child doesn't submit to what the "professionals" deem is proper they are drugged into submission.
This is the liberal way. Socially engineering so everyone acts and thinks alike. This is why children act out and go on school shooting rampages. They are so full of hate for constantly being thought of and told they aren't acceptable.
Liberalism is the cause of ALL social problems and anyone who doesn't think so is a God damn fool.

We had that wooden nut bowl exactly like that one. My mother loved using it at Christmas time. God bless her!
