Md. Mother Wants Criminal Charges For GM Recall Lapses

DENTSVILLE, Md. - A Maryland mother who lost her daughter in a crash linked to an ignition defect says the $35 million fine levied against General Motors isn't nearly enough.

Last week, federal regulators fined General Motors for the delayed recall of 2.6 million cars for an ignition defect linked to 13 deaths.

The fine was the maximum civil penalty that the Transportation Department could impose.

"If you take a look at what GM earned last year it was in the billions. Thirty-five million dollars is what GM could earn in a day or two," said Laura Christian.

So punish GM for being successful?

No 2:48, punish GM for literally killing people and hiding the evidence.

you are a idiot 2:48PM

They made money on the fact that they KNEW they had a bad product... They DELIBERATELY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL as usual someone got HURT OR KILLED...

NO ONE EVER, EVER WANTS TO FIX ANYTHING UNTIL SOMEONE GETS HURT OR KILLED no matter how many signs or problems or inspections people do...

Damn if you all get any more stupid, you mind as well not even exist...

TO ADD: the point of the women bringing up the money side of things was to show THEY HAD THE MONEY TO MAKE A RECALL OR TO FIX THE DAMN PROBLEM IN THE FIRST PLACE...

Poster 2:48PM How about you make your kids join the army and I will go start a pool whereas I will bet against the lives of your kids... I will bet that they will die by a IDE within the first two weeks there... NOW CAN YOU SEE HOW WHAT I SAID WAS WRONG? CAN YOU SEE THAT ME MAKING MONEY ON THE DEATH OF YOUR KID IS NOT RIGHT?

Explain to me 2:48, how GM is successful. You must be braindead or totally ignorant of the fact that they were BANKRUPT. Successful companies don't go bankrupt. The only reason they still exist is because hussien obama took hard working taxpayers' money and bailed out the unions. That is not a success story by any stretch of the imagination (except maybe that of a liberal).
