Obama Plot: Black Out '40% Of U.S. Power Supply'

In 2008, President Obama said he would “bankrupt” coal plant owners and force energy prices across the U.S. to “skyrocket” as part of his plan to combat global warming – and now a new EPA rule on power plant emissions promises to do just that, slashing as much as 40 percent of the nation’s power supply and possibly even doubling Americans’ energy bills.

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted” Obama told the San Francisco Chronicle editorial board in January 2008.

He added, “Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to, uh, retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”

So, yeah, let's overwork our aging nuclear plants! That will clear up the air. Ask the folks over in Japan!

This administration must be stopped before we become a nuclear or economic wasteland, and we're already one of the above.

Doing away with coal and keeping gasoline prices high are the 2 factors keeping this economy down and Obama knows it but does'nt seem to care.

Annie, isn't that a good thing? Aren't you environmental types always telling us that there's too many people as is? So, you should be FOR fracking and FOR climate change....if they are as true as you worry, then millions perish and the wonderful pristine world is made "clean" again, isn't it?

Coal is our cheapest source of energy, and we're not allowed to use it. But China can open all the coal plants they want. Makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

Presidential powers are being reduced as we speak because of the loose cannon in the White House. His replacement won't have the same latitude that Obama had.

They do away with coal so they have to frack to keep up for the gas demand or buy it from foreign countries, enviromentalists make no sense.

1:33 it has nothing to do with environmentalists. It has everything to do with MONEY.

Follow the money.

China's also leading the world by investing in clean energy, like wind. What happened to the wind plant that was supposed to open in the old Bayliner factory, now it's just an indoor parking lot.

Annie, you don't think there is any methane gas coming from the landfill? You want to close that, too? Maybe we dump our trash in your back yard, while they are fracking in mine.
