Physician Assistants In Demand As ACA Rolls Out

There is going to be a big need for physician assistants in the coming months as millions of Americans enroll in insurance plans through the Affordable Care Act.

Physician assistants are playing a key role in the ACA and are one of three groups named as primary care providers by the government.

The president of the American Academy of Physician Assistants tells WBAL Radio they are up to the challenge of treating people through the ACA. But he says they probably do not have enough programs and enough schools to meet the demands in the coming months of the ACA.
