Thousands In Maryland Could Lose Health Coverage

Tens of thousands of Marylanders could soon be told their current health insurance won't cut it under the Affordable Care Act.

More than 70,000 health plan customers in the state would be affected after regulators were informed recently by 9 insurance carriers in Maryland that their plans do not qualify, according to The Washington Post.

So far, the numbers being informed of that sort of problem are running into the millions nationwide as insurance carriers.

The White House is blaming the carriers for not conforming to the new law.

"The White House is blaming the carriers for not conforming to the new law."

The person who use the word "ain't" probably should not question the intelligence of others.

Why would anyone want a policy that does not meet minimum standards? You want to go bankrupt over what a crap policy doesn't cover?

LOL 1:21-I did it on purpose knowing full well someone would response to the improper grammar as opposed to the message to which there is no defense.

Must love Democrats who drink the Kool-aid daily. they assume that the 14 million who stand to lose coverage have a crap policy. Where do you come from? How does one assume that 14 million people have crap policies? What is in that Obama Drink ? I no longer doubt the words of Michael Savage in his book "Liberalism is in fact a mental disorder."

Are you aware of what these "minimum standards" are 2:21? For a start maternity coverage for everyone. The catastrophic plans which were the ones that prevented bankruptcy, they have done away with.
These "minimum standards" are designed so a healthy person is paying for the not so healthy. Before a young person could sign up for a catastrophic only for awhile then change it when they became settled and wanted to start a family. Not anymore. You are paying for everyone else.

2:21, it's none of your damn business which policy I choose. who in the hello do you think you are? since I don't want you telling me what I should and should not buy; why would I want the government to tell me what to buy?

you must be a clueless, government school educated leach. do you work for a living? are you independent? again; it's none of your damn business.

I will lose mine on January 1. My son tried to get insurance through the new system last month and could not get coverage for a pre existing condition. My employer has advised that our company insurance in 2015 will probably change because the new health car laws will dictate the coverage we will have. It seems that the news reporting on this is more accurate than not.

So, the new insurance at a same monthly cost has a 12,000 plus deductible, which means you lose your house when something happens. or 20k. Paying more to avoid this monthly might work, but people are losing jobs at a thousand a month in my county.
Maybe everybody can just die and make everything better?
