The Logic of Abortion 'Rights'

Last week, a top-of-the-hour newscast on my radio featured Lindsay Graham, who was arguing for banning abortions after 20 weeks based on the findings that babies can feel pain in utero at that time.

Why 20 weeks? According to testimony Congress heard from experts, at eight weeks, a baby reacts to touch, and after 20, he reacts to pain.

That's just what they have agreement on. For instance, there are experts who say that once the child has developed spinal circuitry at eight weeks, he feels pain.

I don't believe in it but it's never going to be a law.. Get over it and stop voting on single issues

@ 9:34 Well said. The government will never get anything done, ever, if this is the only litmus test used.

Abortion is a really, really, really, really, simple non-issue. Don't believe in abortion? Don't have one. Don't want to worry about it, use contraception or don't have sex. It's THAT simple. Non-issue.
